Longing for revival, we catalyze movements that call every corner of every campus to follow Jesus.
In the Lakes and Plains region, we will participate in InterVarsity's 2030 calling by establishing 160 chapters on campuses in Wisconsin, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Minnesota, and the Dakotas. We will also grow 1000 small groups of students studying God's Word together on those campuses.
*blue stars represent campuses with established chapters and orange stars are those we hope to reach by 2030
We want to see students radically changed by Jesus who go on to radically change their campuses, their communities, and the world.
"As an ICU nurse, I meet people on some of the worst and hardest days of their lives. I get to serve as a light and support through this tough time, I get to show them the love of Christ through my work."
Percy first encountered InterVarsity through her roommate at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Her roommate invited her to be a part of the Christian community on campus, where she participated in small group and started to hear the Lord speaking to her through His word. She recommitted her life to following Him and spent her years in college leading small groups and developing the women's ministry on campus. Percy now works as an ICU Nurse and teaches nursing in Milwaukee, WI. She has a passion for mentoring students and volunteered with local InterVarsity students in many capacities.
SErving in North Africa
After graduating from Lawrence University, Heather followed Jesus's call to love the people living in refugee camps in North Africa. She teaches English, builds meaningful relationships, and is an advocate for political freedom for the people she works with. During her time in college, Heather attended Urbana and there learned about God's heart for the world and was steered toward using her talents working for His Kingdom.
Ron and Melanie Burns
NUrsing Home Managers
"IVCF made our time in college more fun, we built real and lasting relationships there, and it helped us establish our faith as central to our adult lives. We learned how to be in intentional relationships, and how to balance our school and work responsibilities with service to God and other people."
Ron and Melanie Burns are graduates of Bemidji State university '97. During their time in college, Ron and Melanie were leaders with InterVarsity, leading small groups and helping with large group worship. At Urbana 1996 Ron and Melanie said "yes" to living on mission for God. Their "yes" has led them to numerous overseas mission trips, globally-aware homeschooling, and a posture of welcome and hospitality for missionaries home for furlough. Currently, they own 3 nursing homes in Minnesota and have seen many staff and residents encounter Jesus and be saved during their time there.
We believe in:
The only true God, the almighty Creator of all things,
existing eternally in three persons
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit full of love and glory.
The unique divine inspiration,
and authority of the Bible.
The value and dignity of all people:
created in God’s image to live in love and holiness,
but alienated from God and each other because of our sin and guilt,
and justly subject to God’s wrath.
Jesus Christ, fully human and fully divine,
who lived as a perfect example,
who assumed the judgment due sinners by dying in our place,
and who was bodily raised from the dead and ascended as Savior and Lord.
Justification by God’s grace to all who repent
and put their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
The indwelling presence and transforming power of the Holy Spirit,
who gives to all believers a new life and a new calling to obedient service.
The unity of all believers in Jesus Christ,
manifest in worshiping and witnessing churches
making disciples throughout the world.
The victorious reign and future personal return of Jesus Christ,
who will judge all people with justice and mercy,
giving over the unrepentant to eternal condemnation
but receiving the redeemed into eternal life.
To God be the glory forever.
